Planning Pre-assessments
Environmental assessment methodologies such as BREEAM New Construction 2014, the Home Quality Mark and the Code for Sustainable Homes are used by local planning authorities to demonstrate how developments are meeting their policies for sustainable design and construction.
A planning pre-assessment will identify the constraints and opportunities of a development at an early stage in order to achieve a specific rating and a strategy to target credits in a cost-effective manner. Early engagement with the client is therefore essential if the desired number of credits and overall rating are to be achieved.
As licensed BREEAM, HQM and CSH assessors we have completed pre-assessments ranging from multi-residential developments to single houses. We can therefore draw upon our extensive experience to help clients achieve their desired environmental and sustainability objectives.
